Where's the playground Suzie?

Maybe only Glenn Campbell would have known the answer to this question, but here in WA we certainly know the answer: There is NO playground; they're all still closed.

With no new cases of Covid-19 for so many days; empty hospital beds and no community spread-including infections at schools that the 'wet-my-pants' brigade were so terrified about-our leaders still can't bring themselves to let kids play.

But then again, they will let people 'jam' into Coles and David Jones, whilst not even letting those who want to keep fit by swimming have a shower afterwards, and also stopping more than 20 people at a time in a library that is half the size of the old Subiaco Oval!

Cafe-owners are shaking their heads trying to work-out how to make even a few dollars by serving just 20 people, when 40 patrons could still be accommodated in complete safety. Many have just given-up and remained closed whilst more-and-more patrons like me have simply stopped eating-out after failing the 'challenge' of having to scoff-down a smashed avocado and toast within a one-hour-only limit. And most members of the public are also scratching their heads as to why people from Peth can now drive to the cold and chilly winds of Albany or Margaret River, whilst caravan parks and resorts in Exmouth remained closed?

There is no doubt that the McGowan Government has 'done-us-proud' by their actions in dealing with Covid-19. We are in an enviable position.

But it is starting to really show that politicians and the 'enforcers' of our new covid-19 regulations have little real-life experience of running a real business, or even being an employee of these businesses. We are NOT China nor are we Russia. We are WA; and right now we are throttling what is left of our economy whilst stealing from our children the opportunity gained from learning the important art of play; including in the playgrounds with Suzie.
