At last a bit of civility comes to our crass nation..Knights and Dames sounds superb!!

 

The PM has made a "courageous" decision (as Sir Humphrey would say to his then PM) in reintroducing the awards of Knights and Dames, and us riff-raff need to support him to fully embrace Australia's responsibility and duty to the Queen of England.

So here are my suggestions as to how we can support Mr Abbott in redefining Australia's future:

1.... Replace "Australia Day" (a boring day anyway where bogans wave Aussie flags and sing preposterous ditties like "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oy, Oy, Oy" etc.) with EMPIRE DAY. Now that is better eh? And more respectful to our Queen.

2. Get rid of that silly anthem about "Australia let us all rejoice", and just go back to "God save our Queen". Far more respectful.

3. Reintroduce titles such as Lords and Dukes so then people like me could become Sir Rosco, Duke of Waroona - my birthplace - so I can sort out the rabble who live there now.

4. And Bill Shorten could become Lord William, which sounds awfully better than plain "Bill", so he can celebrate his strong English union roots.

I hope these suggestions will be of help and please pass on my sincere congratulations to Mr Abbott for making a courageous stand on such an important matter for the future of our nation as we enter the Asian Century.
